Tap and mixer replacement
A dripping tap wastes more water in a year than a new one costs. Replacing it usually takes an hour and does not need planning weeks ahead.
- Price from
- 55 € per job
- Response time
- Routine work 24–48 hours, emergencies often the same day

What the job includes
- Removing the old tap and taking it away
- Checking the angle valves and replacing them if needed
- Fitting the new tap and sealing the connections
- Testing flow and checking for leaks afterwards
- Re-sealing the basin edge if the silicone came loose
How we do it
We ask two things in advance: is the tap already bought, and do the angle valves still close. In older buildings the angle valve is exactly what seizes — we carry them in the van so the job does not stall halfway. The new tap goes on with the manufacturer's seals, tightened by hand feel so the ceramic cartridge survives.
Good to know
If the water hammers or the tap knocks, the tap is not the culprit — the system pressure is. We say so on the spot and offer a pressure reducer rather than a third tap.
Frequently asked questions
Can you buy the tap?
If you like. Tell us a price bracket and a style — we bring two options and you choose on the spot. Anything we buy carries a 10% handling fee.
How long does it take?
A straightforward swap is about an hour. Add half an hour if an angle valve has seized or the cabinet has to come apart.
Guides and advice
Weak or uneven flow from a shower mixer: what causes it
A shower mixer with weak or fluctuating flow usually points to one of a handful of causes, most of them straightforward to identify.
Damp under the kitchen sink cabinet: where the leak usually comes from
A damp cabinet under the kitchen sink almost always traces back to one of four fittings, and most of them you can check yourself.
Choosing and fitting an under-sink water filter in the kitchen
Deciding between a simple inline filter and a multi-stage under-sink system comes down to space, water quality and how much upkeep you want.
