Electrical work in flats and houses

Electricity is the one job around the house where 'nearly right' means a fire. Our electricians hold a current competency certificate, and every job ends with measurements, not with trying a bulb.

Electrical work in flats and houses

What the job includes

  • Adding, replacing and moving sockets and switches
  • Running new circuits, including concealed in the wall
  • Fault finding: tripping breakers, dead sockets, flickering lights
  • Checking and installing earthing and RCD protection
  • A test report for the work carried out

How we do it

Before starting we look at the consumer unit: how many circuits, is there an RCD, does the earth actually reach. That five-minute look prevents the situation where the new socket works but the circuit is overloaded. Concealed cables get found with a detector before the drill, not after.

Good to know

Aluminium wiring in buildings from the 1970s and earlier will not carry today's loads. If we find aluminium we say so immediately — adding a socket to an old circuit is a short-term answer.

Frequently asked questions

Are you certified?

Yes. Work that requires competency in Estonia is always done by a certified electrician, and you can have a copy of the report.

A breaker keeps tripping — how long does fault finding take?

Usually one to two hours. We work circuit by circuit and tell you straight away if the fault is in an appliance rather than the wiring.
