Tiling: bathrooms, kitchens and floors
Two things show quality in tiling: whether the joints run straight, and whether the corner tile was cut or snapped. Both are decided in the first hour, when the setting-out row goes down.
- Price from
- 35 € per job
- Response time
- Routine work 24–48 hours, emergencies often the same day

What the job includes
- Preparing and levelling the substrate
- Tanking in wet rooms (mandatory in the shower area)
- Laying tiles on spacers with even joints
- Grouting and siliconing the corners
- Cutting on site, including around pipes and sockets
How we do it
We start with where the first row begins — that decides whether the cut tile ends up in the corner you look at or behind the door. Wet-area tanking is rolled on and taken at least 20 cm up the wall, full height in the shower. Grouting happens once the adhesive has cured, not the same day.
Good to know
Large-format tile (60×120 and up) needs a very flat substrate and a levelling system. That is more expensive work and we say so beforehand, not after the first wavy row.
Frequently asked questions
Is tanking really necessary?
In the shower area, always. Without it water gets under the tile and into the neighbour's ceiling — the most expensive saving available in a bathroom.
How many spare tiles should I buy?
Allow 10% for a straight layout and 15% for diagonal or herringbone. Shops will not exchange broken tiles once the pack is open.

The right height to install a shower mixer: how to measure it
Get the shower mixer height wrong before tiling and the fix means chasing out tiles, not just moving a pipe.
