Light fittings and ceiling lights installed
Hanging a light looks simple until it turns out the ceiling has two wires and no earth, or that a plasterboard ceiling will not hold an eight-kilo chandelier.
- Price from
- 40 € per job
- Response time
- Routine work 24–48 hours, emergencies often the same day

What the job includes
- Removing and disposing of the old fitting
- Choosing a fixing to suit the ceiling (concrete, plasterboard, timber)
- Connecting with earth and a proper terminal block
- Fitting LED strips with the driver hidden
How we do it
We ask what the ceiling is made of first: concrete holds anything, plasterboard needs either an anchor or extra backing. Anything heavy is fixed to the structure behind, never to the board itself. In a bathroom we check that the fitting's IP rating matches the zone it is going into.
Good to know
If you swap halogens for LEDs and the light starts flickering, the lamp is not at fault — the old dimmer is. We say so on the spot and change the dimmer for an LED-compatible one.
Frequently asked questions
How many fittings in one visit?
As many as you need. The first is from €40 and each additional one in the same flat is considerably cheaper, because the travel and setup are already done.
Bathrooms too?
Yes, with fittings of the right IP rating. If the fitting you bought is not rated for near a shower, we tell you before installing it.
