Bathroom renovation in Tallinn
We do a couple of dozen bathrooms a year in Tallinn, most of them 3–5 m² in panel blocks. The single biggest influence on the schedule is when the housing association will allow the riser to be shut.

The local picture
In panel blocks the bathroom wall is often a non-structural plasterboard or timber-framed wall with the riser behind it. That is good news: an access panel is easy to make and future repairs are cheaper.
In older buildings in the centre, expect the floor to be out of level and a screed to be needed under the tanking. That is usually one extra day and we say so in the quote, not afterwards.
We will come with you to the Tallinn showrooms to choose materials if you want — it avoids the situation where the tiles are lovely but the joint width and the fall profile do not work together.

Frequently asked questions
How long does it take?
A standard 4 m² bathroom is three to four weeks. A faster promise usually means the tanking or the grout will not cure properly.
What is in the price and what is not?
All the labour and standard materials. Tiles, taps, furniture and sanitaryware you choose yourself and pay for separately, so you are not paying for our choices.
Can we stay in the flat throughout?
Yes, if there is a second WC or a neighbour helps. Without a second WC, two to three days are difficult and we say so in advance.
