Internal and external door fitting
A door that swings open or shut on its own is not a bad door — it is a frame fitted out of plumb. Levelling is the whole job, and it cannot be corrected later without taking the frame out.
- Price from
- 120 € per job
- Response time
- Routine work 24–48 hours, emergencies often the same day

What the job includes
- Removing the old door and frame and taking them away
- Fitting the new frame in foam, plumb in both directions
- Hanging the leaf and adjusting the hinges
- Fitting the lock and handle
- Architraves on both sides
How we do it
The frame goes in on wedges and we check plumb three times: before foaming, straight after, and the next day once the foam has expanded. Foam bows a frame easily if spreaders are not used — that is the single most common fault we get called back to fix on somebody else's work.
Good to know
If the old frame stays and only the leaf is replaced, measure the hinge positions and frame width exactly. Standard sizes in Estonia differ between Soviet-era and newer buildings.
Frequently asked questions
Can just the leaf be replaced?
Yes, if the frame is straight and sound. It is considerably cheaper and faster — send a photo of the frame and hinges first.
How long does one door take?
About three hours with the frame, under an hour for a leaf alone. The foam needs a few more hours to reach strength.
